Peter Cooper and the Pirate King is a fantasy/adventure book by James DeAcutis. The story has nothing to do with Gentle Giant, but DeAcutis, a GG fan, included GG references in the text.

• There is a floating island named Pantagruel, and it follows on the Panurge Current.
• One of the chapters is named "The Advent of Pantagruel."
• While Peter is with the Pirate King on his ship, it's noted that "the moon is down."
• Peter's senses are like sharpened swords.

Rumor has it that a sequel will have a group of wizards/scientists named Professors Shulman, Shulman and Minnear.
